My clinical approach changed when I realized that for the military community, "talking it out" is rarely enough to resolve deep-seated trauma. Everything changed when I integrated EMDR into my practice. I found that by moving toward deeper healing, we could process how the high-stress environments of military life take hold in the body and mind. By resolving the underlying patterns of trauma, my clients finally trade their survival strategies for a steady, integrated presence.
