Laura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from USC and earned a sub-concentration in Military Social Work.

My name is Laura and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#82127) in the state of California. I also am a certified yoga instructor and love to work out and move.

I graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California (go USC!) and earned a sub-concentration in Military Social Work as well. I provide clinical supervision for Master level clinicians going through the licensing process.

In 2010, I moved to San Diego from the East Coast and have never looked back. My professional background includes over 10 years of non-profit work, group therapy, case management, individual therapy, crisis intervention, community building, and advocacy. I am deeply passionate about providing the best care possible and taking a whole-body approach to healing and managing stress, anxiety, and depression. I have experience with many different groups of people working through challenges including substance abuse/alcoholism, PTSD (including combat related), major life changes, cultural challenges, and aging.

I served in the Coast Guard for two years and was formerly a military spouse. I have been through deployments and understand the unique stressors placed on families going through these transitional times. I do my best to practice what I preach and have found that when I strive for overall health, I feel the most balanced. When I’m not working, you’ll find me loving on my daughter, spending time with the people I care about, and being active. I enjoy working out, yoga, swimming, running, hiking, rock climbing, etc.

To me, therapy is not a rigid structure or plan. I blend and incorporate multiple evidence-based practices, working with you to find what best suits your needs. I believe that you, as an individual or couple, will benefit the most from collaborative care. We will identify your goals and work together to increase your well-being both physically and mentally. It would be an honor to walk alongside you to build your coping skills, find new passions, and work through your challenges while addressing the powerful connection of mind and body. Your strength and resilience will be on display as you recognize your ability to improve your self-esteem and relationships.

Come try something different with us. Together, we will create positive change and help you see what you’re made of. Let’s move!
