My name is Alexandra (they/them) and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#103037). While I’m based in San Diego, I’m currently providing therapeutic services throughout California.

I also serve as a holistic coach: Holding space for soul seekers to awaken into their power, connect with their authentic self in order to feel fully alive and thrive. Coaching services are provided to anyone in the world. If you are interested in connecting, please reach out through ABrown@thriveinlifeSD.com

I earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California with a concentration in Children and Families and a sub-concentration in Military Social Work.

I have 10 years of non-profit work experience including community building, advocacy, case management, and therapeutic services. Specifically, I have provided trauma-informed care to those affected by mental health challenges, substance abuse/alcoholism, PTSD, and traumas including sexual assault, neglect, abandonment, narcissistic parent, combat related trauma, domestic violence/intimate partner violence, racial/social justice, commercial sexual exploitation/trafficking, and incarceration.

Having lived as a military spouse for 13 years while also raising four children, I understand the challenges with establishing work-life balance, daily stressors, setting healthy boundaries, and practicing self-care.

My approach to therapy includes a humanistic-centered style where we establish a collaborative and trusting relationship that encourages vulnerability and opens the door for personal growth to occur.

Fitness has always been a significant part of my life. Not only has it served as a positive coping skill to reduce stress, but it has also connected me with some of my closest friends who are stationed all over the world.

I welcome you on your journey to self-discovery and healing. I’m grateful to be part of your life and will be supporting, encouraging, empowering, and challenging you every step of the way.

Let’s get to work.
